College Magazine

College magazine plays an important role in the life of college students. The “Mankachar College Magazine” is an annual publication of the college. It has Assamese, English and Hindi sections. It is published by the Magazine Secretary of Mankachar College Students’ Union (MCSU) under the active guidance of an in-charge teacher selected from among the faculty members of the college. For every issue of the magazine, an Editorial Board is constituted. The Editorial Board invites writings from the students and teachers. The magazine contains poems, articles, short stories, short essays, reports of activities of the Secretaries of MCSU in the college and an elaborate photo gallery providing glimpses of the Annual College Week and Campus activities. The magazine also contains valuable messages from the Principal and President of the Governing body of the College, as well as from other renown personalities. The college magazine provides a platform to both the students and the teachers to show their creative power through it. It serves many useful purposes. The most important is that it brings out the latent creative talents of the students and, thus, helps them to form the habit of reading and writing.
